Good afternoon. This is Margie Rutledge with the Jasper SD. Due to the inclement weather tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31, 2022 the District will not be in session. This will be AMI day #5 for Jasper and Oark and day #6 for Kingston. Please remember to stay safe and warm.

Oark Elementary Renovation Project: The pre-bid walk-through will be on February 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. on the Oark Campus and the Bid Opening will be on February 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. on the Jasper Campus.

Due to the icy weather the Oark Elementary Bid walk through on January 31, 2023 is being postponed. The District will set a date for the walk through when it is safe to travel to the Oark campus. Depending on when the walk through is scheduled the bid opening may be adjusted.

Good Morning, this is Margie Rutledge with the Jasper SD. The District is planning to dismiss the following buses at 11 a.m. today January 24, 2023. They are Dwayne Barnard – Bus #75, Randy Guhr – Bus #79, Mason Dorrell – Bus# 71, Bus# 72 –Shelia Reynolds, and Bus # 56 Tim Slape. Once again please stay safe and have fun in the snow.

Good Morning, this is Margie Rutledge with the Jasper SD. The District is planning to dismiss at 1 p.m. today January 24, 2023, due to the forecasted winter weather. If the District sees that the weather is going to come in sooner we will send another message with that information.

January is School Board Appreciation Month! We cannot express how blessed we are to have such a dedicated group who make decisions that positively impact our students, staff, and schools. They spend countless hours working to make sure that we have the resources and opportunities necessary to succeed. Good morning. This is Margie Rutledge with the Jasper School District. Jasper School District will be in session Nov. 15 with the exception of Oark's Patterson Springs Bus Route.

Announcement of Rewards - Arkansas School Recognition Program The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is pleased to announce that a total of $6,871,250 will be awarded to 159 schools through the Arkansas School Recognition Program. Awards are based on student assessment results from the 2020-21 school year and graduation rates from the 2019-20 school year. The Arkansas School Recognition Program (Ark. Code Ann. § 6-15-2107) provides financial awards to the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student performance on the state-required assessments in grades 3 through 10 and the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student academic growth, including high school graduation rates where applicable. Schools receiving recognition funds are required to establish a committee to determine the best use of the funds. The committee includes the principal, a teacher elected by the faculty, and a parent representative selected by the local Parent Teacher Association or another parental involvement group. Districts and schools do not have to submit documents to DESE but should keep on file the committee agenda, minutes, sign-in sheets, and documentation on how the recognition funds were spent for auditors. Congratulations to Kassidy Dorrell for winning the $100.00 gas card from No Kid Hungry. Her name was drawn today from a total of 433 family applications turned in across the district. No Kid Hungry, a part of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, also sponsored the $50.00 Harps gift cards given to everyone who completed the Lunch Form. We appreciate all who participated by filling out the Lunch Forms for this school year.
