4-H'ers Represent Jasper High School & Newton County
Nine Jasper Pirate Pride Teen Leaders Club members had the opportunity to represent Newton County at 4-H Day at the Capitol event. The group had a meet and greet with State Senator Bryan King, State Representative Steven Walker, and State Representative Chad Puryer. The group learned about state government and toured the grounds. The group also listened to guest speakers such as Lt. Governor Leslie Rutledge, the Secretary of Agriculture, the Commissioner of Lands, and the State Auditor, among others. This was a great learning opportunity for our kids to see government in action.
